Here's some additional thoughts on Hulu Plus being added as a channel to Apple TV:
Peter Kafka has a good take on the situation. He's correct that the Mountain Lion OS "mirroring" Airplay function basically forced Hulu's hand. It is worth noting (as Peter does) that Hulu still hasn't added iTunes availability for iPads or iPhones. My guess is that this three-screen capability will be the cornerstone of any Apple iTV offering.
Gigaom also has a good take on the situation. Key takeaway is that by adding the Hulu Plus channel direct to Apple TV it served to avoid some quality of experience issues that an Airplay only stream could have caused. Hard to think that a product like Apple TV that has sold 4 million units already this year is still a "hobby".
This Fast Company article is geared to how Apple leverages iTunes to make Netflix more readily available but the very same can be said for Hulu Plus. iTunes is the real secret sauce. No company can boast of a back office system so readily accepted both by customers and suppliers. This will make all the difference.
